Talent is the foundation of our success. Without the unique contributions of each associate working at Contec, Inc., we could not produce and deliver the exceptional array of critical environment product solutions we provide to our customers. Our people make this a great place to work every day by embracing our core values, having a passion for what they do, and by being the best at what they do.
Do the right thing even when no one is looking; make it easy for others to do the right thing too. Accept responsibility and be accountable to others.
Do “whatever it takes” within Contec’s core values, vision, and strategic direction; be passionate about our mission, values, people, and customers.
Maintain the self-esteem and dignity of others regardless of the situation; inspire others and encourage them to live with purpose.
Accept failure as a part of the learning process and move on. Challenge the status quo and focus on solutions, not blame.
Work hard but share the load so everyone can achieve a level of work-life harmony. Maintain your physical and emotional health.
Celebrate efforts as well as results. Enjoy the ride, but remember the ride is different for everyone.
Contec, Inc. is pleased to offer a wide range of benefits to its associates and their families. These company sponsored benefits are an important part of a total compensation package representing an investment by Contec in our associates and their families. We are proud of our compensation benefits program and are committed to continuously improving the plans that make up our benefits offerings.
Contec considers hybrid work options to be a viable work arrangement in instances where job duties can be accomplished remotely, business needs are met, and when the individual, job, and supervisor characteristics are best suited for such arrangement.
Contec isn't just a place to find work-life harmony. It's also a company driven by community-focused values and giving back. To support this, we offer all full-time associates up to 40 hours of additional paid time within a 12 month period to be used for community service.
This unique offering empowers you to dedicate time to causes you're passionate about without having to worry about lost income or using your regular vacation days. Whether it's helping out at a local food bank, participating in neighborhood cleanups, chaperoning your child’s field-trip, or lending your skills to a nonprofit, your time can make a real difference.
When you join Contec Inc., you'll find opportunities to grow, learn, and lead in an environment that celebrates diversity, creativity, and innovation.
You are not just joining a team; you're becoming part of a family that values your well-being and your passion for making the world a better place.
Contec offers an array of affordable benefits for you and your family, including: medical (PPO), including infertility benefits, dental, vision, Rx coverage, short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance. Full-time associates are eligible the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
We also offer two types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) fundable with pre-tax dollars: a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA), and a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA). Accounts are funded via a payroll deduction each pay period. Money that you contribute to your FSA’s is not subject to social security taxes, federal, and, in most cases, state income taxes.
Contec offers a bank of PTO, based upon your employment classification, that associates are allowed to use according to their specific needs: illness, vacation, or personal needs. Beginning the first full calendar year of employment, you are granted 17 days or 136 hours of PTO. Unused PTO will rollover into the next year, up to a designated maximum amount.
We also provide 9 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday; the holidays observed each calendar year are: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Contec offers a convenient way to save for your future through payroll deductions. Associates eligible to participate in the plan, (18 years of age or older and have completed 30 days of continuous employment), are automatically enrolled on the first of the month following 30 days at a 5% deferral rate. Associates are given the option then to opt-out of the plan, defer at a different percentage, or choose other investment funds.
A safe-harbor match is made by Contec for up to the first 3% deferred, and then another match is made for 50% of the next 2% deferred. This safe harbor match is fully vested day 1 of eligibility.
Rollovers from other qualified plans and catch-up contributions for participants over 50 years of age are also allowed.
For the convenience of our associates and their spouses, Contec offers an onsite health clinic for those enrolled in our medical plan that provides acute care, health screenings, disease management, and physician referrals.
In support of every associate’s health and wellbeing, onsite gyms are available at two of our facilities for our associates; one even including a Pickleball Court.
Contec realizes that families are formed in many different ways. Therefore, we offer an Adoption Assistance Program to help offset the costs associates incur with adopting a child. This program provides up to $10,000 per child with a lifetime maximum of $20,000. Contec also offers Infertility Treatment coverage through our medical PPO plan with a lifetime max of $10,000.
In addition, Contec recognizes the importance of the bonds that form between parents and their children, whether after the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child. To assist with that, we are proud to offer all full-time associates with at least 12 months of service Paid Parental Leave (PPL). Associates are eligible to receive a maximum of 12 weeks of PPL in a rolling 12 month period.
Contec’s Educational Expense Reimbursement Program is designed to help associates further their knowledge, skills, and job effectiveness through higher education in fields of interest to the company. This financial support is provided to eligible associates enrolling in college, university, and technical school courses to obtain an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or technical degree.
Qualifying associates may be reimbursed up to 50% of the tuition cost and 100% of the cost of books and lab fees upon satisfactory completion of the course. Individual courses that are part of a degree, licensing, or certification program related to the associate’s current job duties or future positions are also eligible for educational assistance.
